Tasmania’s Minister for Primary Industries and Water Jo Palmer and Opposition Leader Rebecca White will headline The Mercury’s Bush Summit in Hobart from 8am AEST.

After five years of the event being held in Sydney, Bush Summits have be hosted across the country across the next week.

Key themes to be discussed this year include liveability in the regions and community resilience, sustainability and water management, funding and supply of critical infrastructure, energy transition, international trade, technology, connectivity and business innovation. Ms Palmer will deliver her keynote address at 8:20am on Wednesday followed by a Q&A session hosted by The Mercury’s editor Craig Herbert.The Bush Summit will next head to Wodonga, Victoria on August 17 and conclude in Rockhampton, Queensland on August 18.
