Pearson and Democratic state Rep. Justin Jones were expelled from the legislature after they, along with Democratic state Rep. Gloria Johnson, halted business of the chamber by using a megaphone to protest from the well in the statehouse chamber.

Johnson came one vote shy of being expelled after she argued she did not use the bullhorn and simply stood beside the other two in the well.The Nashville Metropolitan Council voted unanimously to reinstate the Jones in a meeting Monday evening.
