NEW YORK -- New York City Police Commissioner Edward Caban announced his resignation Thursday, less than a week after federal agents raided his home and others in Mayor Eric Adams ' inner circle.City Hall officials are expected to hold a briefing sometime after 12 p.m. Watch live on CBS News New York in the video player above.Caban sent a letter to members of the NYPD on Thursday, saying the news surrounding the raids had 'created a distraction for our department.
