A defiant Donald Trump is holding the first rally of his 2024 campaign in Waco, Texas, as he faces the prospect of a possible indictment.
at the U.S. Capitol by a mob of his supporters seeking to stop the transfer of power to Democrat Joe Biden, who won the presidential election.
“This is the ideal location to have as many supporters from across the state and in neighboring states attend this historic rally,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said. Hours before Trump was set to arrive, hundreds of his supporters began streaming into the airport past vendors selling merchandise including Trump flags, bumper stickers and action figures. There were no signs of counter protesters near the long line of Trump supporters waiting to get inside.
