Lakey Hinson, who touts the beauty of impermanent art, has called for the firing of Officer Jorge Breton, who was training another officer during the incident.
'You're doing graffiti'
Jorge Breton, a field training officer with more than 10 years of law enforcement experience, was showing Officer Alan Gonzalez the ropes that day. Gonzalez joined the Police Department fresh out of the academy in February.“What’s up, papa?” Breton says.Body camera video from Leon Valley Police shows officers arresting a man for creating art with sidewalk chalk. The man was later released and the city apologized.Breton says,"Somebody called us because you're doing graffiti.
The artist puts the piece of chalk in his pocket and pulls out his phone to begin recording the encounter.
