SNL’s 49th season premiere aired on Saturday
Kenan Thompson appears as Deion Sanders along with Weekend Update host Colin Jost on the 49th season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Saturday night. It was only a matter of time, and perhaps only the recently-settled Writers Guild of America strike kept it from happening sooner.
Deion Sanders got the Saturday Night Live treatment on the show’s 49th season premiere on Saturday, with Kenan Thompson making an appearance to send up Colorado’s “Coach Prime.” Clad in sunglasses and a white Colorado baseball cap and hoodie with a whistle around his neck, Thompson joined Weekend Update host Colin Jost for a short segment detailing the meteoric rise of Sanders and the Buffaloes football program this season.
