Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has weighed in on the conclusion of the Mueller investigation, joking that Trump was never sharp enough to pull off collusion.
“And deep down didn’t we know Trump probably didn’t collude with Russia, because he could never pull that off. And even if he did collude it probably would have been by accident. Putin wanted him there and did what he had to do. Basically, Trump got into the White House the same way that Lori Loughlin got her kid into USC [University of Southern California].”
The full report has not been released and Democrats are calling for it to be made public. In total, the Russia investigation brought indictments against 34 people and three companies. The special counsel found “two main Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election.” Those included efforts to spread disinformation online and hack into computers from the Clinton campaign.
