Batangas lawmaker Gerville Luistro says out of P11.3 billion given to the Sara Duterte-led DepEd for ICT needs in 2023, only P2.075 billion was disbursed
MANILA, Philippines – Batangas 2nd District Representative Gerville “Jinky” Luistro flagged on Monday, September 2, the supposed delays in the distribution of ICT materials to schools by the Department of Education , when it was led by Vice President Sara Duterte.
From 2022 continuing funds: 4,067 eLCs, 337 smart TVs, 2,366 laptops for teachers, 3,161 laptops for non-teaching personnel Meanwhile, for the 2023 current appropriations, only an average of 3% of eLCs and smart TVs have been delivered. DepEd had a budget of P11.361 billion for 2023, but by end of the year, only P2.075 billion had been disbursed.
