Dr Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka made an appearance at the Global Citizen NOW conference in New York on Friday.
Mlambo-Ngcuka was UN under-secretary-general and executive director of UN Women from August 2013 to August 2021 and was deputy president of South Africa from 2005 to 2008.
