During the June 4 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, four contestants advanced to the next round in their quest to challenge the reigning champion.
In the first match-up of Round 2, “Cable Car” performed a lively rendition of Younha’s hit song “Comet.” The celebrity panel praised her performance, with several panelists noting that she seemed like an experienced singer who was at home on the stage., who offered the audience several clues to Cable Car’s identity. Kang Sora revealed that she had been friends with Cable Car for a long time, explaining that she’d seen Cable Car on numerous variety shows and decided to personally send her a DM .
Kang Sora went on to hint that Cable Car looked cute and delicate on the outside, but boasted numerous charms and talents, from cooking to being handy with machines. While some panelists had other ideas, Kim Gura immediately guessed that Cable Car was Rainbow’s Jisook, who was famous for her wide variety of skills and talents.
While Cable Car had charmed the crowd with her singing, it was ultimately her opponent that won the round—and so she remained on stage to take off her mask and reveal her identity. Sure enough, the masked singer turned out to be none other than former Rainbow member Jisook.
