Ahead of the May 8 polls, BLF's messaging is the battle for land and it's standing by the slogan.
The BLF is on the ballot paper, but they could find themselves having to fight off various attempts to get them removed. What got people worked up, is the slogan “land or death”.
“Violence in this country is 20, 000 black people dying as a consequence of the violence in the townships created by white people,” Mngxitama said. He further stated that the only way black and white people and co-exist in South Africa is if the land and wealth is returned to black hands.
