While joining Fox News at Night’s political panel on Wednesday, Westwood said the Biden administration’s slow response to the Ohio train derailment is puzzling.“It is hard to follow the logic of the Biden administration response to this,” Westwood said. “It combines some things that ostensibly the administration would care about, right? Environmental damage, blue-collar town, the Midwest — all things the administration claims to care about.
Westwood also noted that President Joe Biden’s continued unconditional support of Ukraine is raising concern about what his administration’s plan is.“Biden hasn’t done a good job of articulating what the U.S.’s interests are in dumping so much money into Ukraine. To say that the U.S. will support Ukraine for as long as it takes with no strings attached is something Republicans are starting to be really concerned about,” Westwood said.
While Biden made a surprise visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, and announced an additional half billion dollars in U.S. assistance on Monday, he has not yet visited the site of the Ohio train derailment.
