Ange Postecoglou stunned a young Spurs fan when he insisted on extending a club Q&A to ensure he got the final question in a big-hearted gesture.
The former Celtic boss continues to win over supporters south of the border since his switch to the English Premier League giants and it’s as much to do with the team’s performances on the park as his actions off it, including during press conferences. And the affable Aussie was at his best at a club event where punters were invited along to quiz the club’s hierarchy, including chairman Daniel Levy. The host was about to wrap up as he thanked the audience for their participation. He said: “Ladies and gentlemen, we have sadly run out of time. My apologies.” But Postecoglou interrupted him to say: “No we’re not, we’ve got one more question. This young man in the front. Yeah, he’s got the best question. Come on.
There was a huge round of applause in the room and Postecoglou - named Premier League manager of the month for August- said: “Good man. We’ll do our best. Everybody involved in the football club. We understand what it means to all you folk about this football club and our role is to try and make you happy and proud every time we go out there so that’s what we’ll try and do.”
