Will it survive? Engineering
Have you ever thought about how many apples would it take to take down a relatively massive remote-controlled plane? Or could it actually survive a few shots? The answer has come in the form of a highly entertaining and informative video.built a giant B-17 remote-controlled bomber, also called Flying Fortress.
This American heavy bomber, which was used during World War II, was created by the Boeing Aircraft Company in response to a 1934 Army Air Corps request that called for a four-engined bomber at a period when two engines were the norm. The team's model is fully functional, and while this video won't take you through every step of the remote-controlled bomber's development and construction, you'll get to see it put against multiple apples fired from an air cannon.
