Snyder unveiled the Commanders’ name and logo at a ceremony in February 2022. Team executives and former players donned burgundy and gold jackets as they applauded the change. Fans weren’t impressed. Last month’s study found that 48% of area residents still don’t care for the name, noting that they hate or dislike it.
The Commanders’ new ownership group has been clear — they say they have no interest in returning to their old names.
