A cannabis shop that is likely within weeks of opening for weed sales in Warren County’s Washington Borough will be opening for another purpose on Tuesday night – civic engagement.is hosting a town hall event for the public with candidates running for state legislative seats in the 23rd District, which serves Washington and surrounding areas. The event runs from 7-9 p.m. at the dispensary, 245 E. Washington Ave.are Republican Sen.

A news release from the dispensary did not specify if all candidates are expected to attend, but noted that the town hall aims to be more than a debate among politicians. “Any form of political discourse is important,” Dank Poet CEO Chris Caruso said in the release. “To have a location that allows the community to interact with candidates and ask questions directly is paramount to a successful political system.”

Moderated by veteran media professional and cannabis expert Stu Zakim, the two-hour event will provide candidates a platform to discuss all issues facing New Jersey voters and answer questions from the public.
