The Lose Cruz super PAC has criticized Texas Senator Ted Cruz for vacationing in California in the days leading up to Hurricane Beryl's landfall in the Lone Star State, but the senator was in Texas when the storm hit Monday morning.Beryl made landfall as a Category 1 storm in Texas. As of Tuesday afternoon, 2.2 million Texans are still without power following the storm's onslaught.
'I'm currently at the Emergency Operation Center in Houston assessing the damage caused by Hurricane Beryl,' he posted on X on Monday afternoon. 'We are working with state and local leaders, along with FEMA and the appropriate federal agencies, to ensure Texans get the relief they need.'Another post, made a few hours later, said Cruz was still at the Houston Emergency Operations Center 'meeting with City leaders & first responders dealing with the aftermath of Beryl.
