The Golden State Warriors suffered a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, dropping to a 16-15 record and raising concerns about their performance since acquiring Dennis Schröder.
The Golden State Warriors have struggled since acquiring veteran guard Dennis Schröder in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets. With a 16-15 record entering Monday night's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers , the Warriors hoped to turn their season around. However, the Cavaliers defeated Golden State 113-95, handing the Warriors their 16th loss of the season.
Cleveland's starting backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland combined for 48 points, limiting Stephen Curry to just 11 points in 29 minutes. Following a 4-13 record since their last winning streak, head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the team's struggles, stating, 'You are what your record says you are.' Kerr admitted the Warriors have fallen from their early momentum and good flow. Golden State's last winning streak occurred on November 22nd against the New Orleans Pelicans. After that game, they held a 12-3 record and looked like a strong contender. Since the Schröder trade, however, the Warriors have gone 2-5 and may need to make another move to keep their playoff hopes alive
