Warriors vs. Kings: Draymond Green ejected from game after Flagrant 2 foul on Domantas Sabonis
SACRAMENTO — Draymond Green was issued a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected from Game 2 of the Warriors’ first-round series against the Sacramento Kings.
Green was ejected at the 7 minute mark of the fourth quarter as the Warriors strove to put together a comeback, down 91-88 on Monday night at Golden 1 Center. Sabonis was issued a technical foul for holding onto Green’s foot after a Malik Monk miss on a runner and Steph Curry rebounded the ball. Green stepped on Sabonis’ chest as he tried to escape his grasp, leaving Sabonis writhing on the floor with trainers tending to him. That’s when the Kings crowd taunted Green.
Green was already fired up when officials issued him a fifth foul earlier in the quarter after he bumped into Sabonis on the inbound play. Head coach Steve Kerr successfully challenged the call. The Golden 1 Center crowd went into a “Draymond sucks!” chant as Green walked up to the bench and goaded them into jeering him more.
