The Warriors’ season — and perhaps the future of this dynasty — will be decided on Sunday.
SAN FRANCISCO — The Warriors’ Game 5 win in Sacramento earlier this week set the defending champs up for the chance to clinch their first-round series on home court, where they’ve been nearly unbeatable in the playoffs.
The Warriors turned the ball over too many times and gave the Kings too many second-chance opportunities. Sacramento, playing with its season on the line, maintained control of the game to force the series back to Sacramento for a pivotal Game 7. The Warriors managed to pull within six in the third quarter, but the Kings didn’t let their foot off the gas. Even when big man Domantas Sabonis fouled out with 5:17 left in the game, Golden State couldn’t get stops and make shots.
