The former legal advisor to controversial businessman Zunaid Moti has been released after the Randburg Magistrate's Court suspended a warrant for his arrest.
The Randburg Magistrate's Court suspended an arrest warrant issued for the Moti Group's former legal assistant, Clinton van Niekerk.He is accused of stealing confidential information from the Moti Group between September and November last year.
Moti owns the Sandton-based Moti Group, which lists mining, property development, security, logistics and aviation among its business interests. The court also ordered that Van Niekerk be detained at the Verulam police station, pending his application to have the Gauteng warrant set aside.
