They are expected to produce the project alongside Denise Di Novi, with the original film's co-writer Akiva Goldsman writing the script. Directed by Griffin Dunne, the original film also starred Emmy winner Stockard Channing and Oscar winner Dianne Weist, as well as Aiden Quinn and Goran Visnjic.
