Montgomery, Alabama will see warmer temperatures today before a series of cold fronts bring a December-like chill to the area.
The warmer than normal temperatures continue for one more day. Then the weather pattern will shift back to feeling like December late week and this weekend, as a series of cold fronts move across the region. The next best chance of rain for our state arrives with today’s boundary. While it won’t be enough for everyone to see wet weather, we might be able to squeeze out a few showers.Today will be mainly cloudy with a few peeks of sunshine.
Highs will warm into the 70s with southwest winds around 5 mph. A few scattered showers will be possible as a cold front slides across the region and we will keep a low-end rain chances into the night with lows in the 40s and 50s. Behind the midweek rain chance, another cold front passes through the area on Thursday, it could bring our temperatures down in a hurry! In fact, highs on Thursday will be in the 60s, while Friday we will be close to the 50s. As for overnight lows to end the week, they are back into the 30s, with near freezing temperatures by Saturday morning. The weekend outlook is looking dry, for those last minute Christmas shoppers. Highs will be in the 50s with overnight lows in the lower 30s. The chill this weekend is very fitting, as we officially welcome in the season of Winter on Saturday at 3:20 am.
