Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking an approaching cool front from the west that brings at least a chance for showers but it won’t be much rain overall.

Winds out of the south will keep us warm and somewhat humid, as well. The actual front will pass Jacksonville either side of 8 pm this evening. Behind the front, drier air moves in we drop to the mid 50s by tomorrow morning. We return to mostly sunny days and temperatures near average on Thursday and Friday with lower humidity, too.

Georgia/Florida weekend will be seasonally mild with onshore winds and mostly to partly sunny skies. The onshore flow could lead to a few isolated showers, primarily closer to the beaches, as well as a heightened rip current risk.We are tracking the potential for an area of low pressure to form and acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics north of Puerto Rico over the next two days. No local impacts. Another area to watch is the Eastern and Central Caribbean over the next 5 days.

The early preview of Halloween on Monday is looking partly sunny and warm, near 80, with an isolated afternoon shower possible.First Alert Forecast from Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh.
