Warga Thailand ditahan, pil yaba RM132,000 dirampas

Polis menahan lelaki itu pada 7.30 malam kerana berada dalam keadaan mencurigakan di tepi wakaf Pengkalan Kuala Tat, Kuala Jambu, Tumpat.

KOTA BHARU: Polis menahan seorang warga Thailand dan merampas 12,000 pil yaba dianggarkan 1,200g yang bernilai RM132,000 di sebuah wakaf di tepi Pengkalan Kuala Tat, Kuala Jambu, Tumpat semalam.

Pemangku Ketua Polis Tumpat, Ibrahim Husin, berkata lelaki itu ditahan pada 7.30 malam selepas didapati berada dalam keadaan mencurigakan di tepi wakaf berkenaan. “Hasil pemeriksaan, polis menjumpai 48 peket plastik biru dan 12 peket plastik merah jambu mengandungi pil yaba,” katanya dalam kenyataan. Beliau berkata, ujian ke atas suspek mendapati dia positif methamphetamine dan suspek direman tujuh hari hingga 31 Okt ini untuk disiasat mengikut Seksyen 39B dan Seksyen 15 Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952.
