: Lelaki warga ermas mengalami kerugian sebanyak RM400,900 setelah terperdaya dengan sindiket pelaburan mata wang digital yang tidak wujud pada Mac lepas.
Pemangku Ketua Polis Daerah Batu Pahat Supt Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani berkata mangsa berusia 64 tahun itu telah berurusan dengan inidvidu tidak dikenali melalui laman Facebook sebelum meneruskan komunikasi melalui aplikasi WhatsApp. Beliau berkata mangsa yang tertarik dengan keuntungan besar yang ditawarkan menerusi pelaburan mata wang digital itu telah diberikan pautan laman web kakauet.com.“Dalam tempoh 3 April hingga 18 Jun mangsa telah membuat pindahan wang ke lapan akaun berbeza secara berperingkat berjumlah RM400,900,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Shahrulanuar bekrata mangsa kemudiannya menerima mesej daripada suspek menyatakan akaun pelaburannya telah disita oleh Kementerian Kewangan Amerika Syarikat dan perlu membuat bayaran sebanyak tiga peratus dari jumlah pelaburan untuk menebusnya. “Mangsa tidak berbuat demikian kerana mengesyaki telah ditipu dan membuat laporan polis semalam.
