John Belfield was wanted in connection with a fatal attack on Thomas Campbell
John Belfield, who has links to Lancashire, was wanted in connection with the murder of Thomas Campbell. Yesterday he was arrested after arriving on a flight from South America.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "John Belfield of no fixed abode has been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder, manslaughter, conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He has been remanded into custody and will appear before a Magistrate at a later date. "Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene and a murder investigation was quickly launched. Three individuals have already been sentenced for their role in Thomas Campbell’s death.
