Westminster City Council installed the cameras to go off if events over 90 decibels happened nearby. CCTV revealed the ‘boy racers’ in ‘dangerous proximity to onlooking crowds and other road users’ on Pall Mall. Other cars also took part in the show off event, producing noise loud as a jack hammer, a spokesperson said. Aicha Less, the council’s deputy leader, said: ‘Driving like this is not only unwelcome in Westminster, but also incredibly dangerous.
