Wannabe authoritarian RepAdamSchiff should sit on no committees, writes ZacharyFaria
Schiff, the California Democrat who served as the chairman of the Intelligence Committee, may be the most destructive member of the House. While the bigotry of Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Eric Swalwell’s association with a Chinese spy have drawn the most ridicule, it is Schiff’s tenure as the appointed intelligence master of the Democratic Party that raises the most concerns.
Schiff used his position as a congressman and the chairman of the Intelligence Committee to demand that Twitter censor people. That is how Schiff views the role of government. Schiff had already made it clear that he was unfit to hold any role in any committee relating to intelligence. He fabricated claims about “direct evidence” that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia before the 2016 election, even as he knew that there was no such evidence in closed-door hearings. Now that it is clear he wants to use the weight of the government to censor people, it is resoundingly clear that he should sit on no committees at all.
