A Wayne County man faces charges after police said he possessed and disseminated child sexual abuse material.
New York State Police said a cyber tip submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in February 2025 indicated an online account associated with Jayden Westcott "uploaded multiple files suspected to contain child sexual exploitation material.
" Police said they identified Westcott as the account holder and searched his Walworth home in June, seizing multiple electronic devices. Subsequent analysis of those devices revealed numerous files depicting child sexual abuse material, along with evidence indicating the possession and dissemination of such content.Westcott, 23, turned himself in Saturday, according to police. He was charged with three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child under age 17 and five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child under age 16.
