Walter White, Bryan Cranston's meth cook from Breaking Bad, gets reimagined as a Disney character in AI-generated art which looks surprisingly good.
Breaking Bad's Walter White looks surprisingly good as a Disney character in new AI-generated art. Created by The X Files alum Vince Gilligan and premiered on AMC in 2008, Breaking Bad follows a dispirited high school chemistry teacher Walter White , who, after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, teams up with his former student Jesse Pinkman to manufacture and sell crystal meth to secure his family's financial future.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, Breaking Bad's primary protagonist is being reimagined unexpectedly. Shared by @weirddalle on Twitter without much explanation, some new AI-generated art imagines Walter White as a Disney character, and the result looks surprisingly good.
Gilligan, who also co-created Better Call Saul, has no current plans for the future of the Breaking Bad universe and is instead developing an entirely new Apple TV+ show starring Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn. Better Call Saul's other co-creator, Peter Gould, has also expressed interest in pursuing other projects outside the franchise. If another Breaking Bad successor series were to happen soon, it would likely have to be spearheaded by different creatives.
Of all the potential spinoffs that have been floated, the most popular seem to be Gus Fring or Kim Wexler origin stories, both of which Walter White likely wouldn't appear in. All things considered, it seems unlikely that Walter White will ever return to the Breaking Bad franchise. This is probably for the best, considering that all three main characters' stories – Walt, Jesse, and Saul – have been wrapped up perfectly by Breaking Bad, El Camino, and Better Call Saul, respectively.
