A Walnut Creek woman claims Chase Bank allowed 35 unauthorized users to be added to her Marriott Bonvoy Chase credit card without her knowledge or consent. She received dozens of credit cards in her mail addressed to various individuals who had been added as authorized users, giving them the potential to charge up to $19,000 on her card or receive $950 cash back.

Hayes says Chase also put her in touch with the fraud department, which she says called her back when she returned home. In an emailed statement to 7 On Your Side Investigates, a Chase spokesperson wrote, "We monitor customer accounts for suspicious activity and promptly contact them if something unusual is detected. In this instance, our vigilant customer alerted us first. We closed the unauthorized cards, issued a new account and card, and apologized for the inconvenience caused during her vacation.
"Search warrants, surveillance, grand jury subpoenas, those are all tools that we use to investigate fraud schemes big and small," said Norfleet."Not enough credit history," said Hayes."All of these names are the same as some of the people on the credit cards they sent.
