Walmart said that starting on Nov. 1, 2023, it will "remove inflation" from the prices for traditional Thanksgiving meal items including selling turkey for less than $1 a pound. On Nov. 1, Walmart said it is “again removing inflation to offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal on customers’ favorite brands at an even lower price than last year ...”

Last year, “In the face of record-breaking inflation,” Walmart offered a traditional Thanksgiving meal at prices from 2021. This year, Walmart said, the lower prices will be available on favorites, fixings and national brands including turkey for under $1 a pound and ham.“To meet customers’ needs, Walmart is offering two Thanksgiving meal options at an even lower price than last year, one with ingredients for customers who like to cook from scratch, and one for customers who like more convenient, ready-to-bake options.
