For the first time since 2019, the El Paso Walmart shooter Patrick Crusius will appear in court in public on Thursday.

Crusius is facing new federal hate crime and gun charges following the death of another person injured in the attack. A grand jury on Thursday, July 9, 2020 returned a new indictment against Patrick Wood Crusius. He was already charged with 90 counts under hate crime and firearms laws for the shooting in El Paso .
It's unknown what will be discussed in the hearing but there could be a possibility of setting a trial date.Crusius was convicted last year on federal charges against him for the death of 23 people from the Aug. 3 shooting at Walmart in Cielo Vista.
