New details were revealed about the teen accused in a Georgia high school shooting and what his father allegedly knew behind closed doors.
SPECIAL TO THE EAGLE On Tuesday Wallace Community College welcomed approximately 600 area first graders from eight area elementary schools for the WCCD Health Sciences Simulation Clinic , or SIM Clinic .
Visiting students joined Wallace Health Science faculty and students for a fun event that is designed to teach children the importance of maintaining good health and wellness. With the help of WCCD Superheroes, the children learned about nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and safety. In addition, students got to learn more about future careers in healthcare.Some examples of healthcare learning activities included learning how X-rays work, asthma attack prevention and the use of inhalers, and how to measure heights and weights like in a doctor’s office. The SIM Clinic was designed to not only educate the young guests, but also to help WCCD students learn the importance of communication with patients of any age or condition.
