Winds kicked up a towering wall of flames in rural northern Arizona on Tuesday, tearing through two-dozen structures and forcing the evacuation of more than 700 homes

Smoke from a wind-whipped wildfire rises above neighborhoods on the outskirts of Flagstaff, Ariz., on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Homes on the outskirts of Flagstaff were being evacuated Tuesday as high winds whipped a wildfire, shut down a major highway and grounded firefighting aircraft. FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.

“It’s good in that it’s not headed toward a very populated area, and it’s headed toward less fuel,” Smith said. “But depending on the intensity of the fire, fire can still move across cinders.” Arizona Public Service Co., the state's largest utility, shut off power to about 625 customers to keep firefighters safe, a spokeswoman said.

Taranto said the neighbor was “disoriented and gasping for air” when she reached her. Firefighters in the area helped get the garage door open and the neighbor to the hospital, she said. Taranto was looking for a shelter for the neighbor’s two dogs.

This San Antonio home for sale comes with a $90,000 floor-to-ceiling tequila wallThis San Antonio home for sale comes with a $90,000 floor-to-ceiling tequila wallA San Antonio homebuilder has put his residence on the market for $1.6 million, and in addition to high-end features such as a gourmet kitchen and a climate-controlled wine cellar, it includes a floor-to-ceiling wall to house his $90,000 tequila collection. That's right. Not a built-in liquor cabinet devoted to tequila, but an entire wall. While one potential buyer included some of the rare bottles in his bid, listing agent Miguel Herrera said that only includes a third or so of the collection. The three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath, Malibu-style property is being sold by Gerardo De Anda, who owns luxury home builder Nueva Developments LLC. It's served as De Anda's own residence since it was built last year. In addition to its formidable entertaining space, the 4,500-square-foot abode includes a gym, a sauna, a theater room and a pool overlooking the Hill Country around Camp Bullis. This home is listed by Miguel Herrera with Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper, Realtors. All photos by Realtor.com.
