Within 30 seconds of coming on as a replacement at Loftus Versfeld, the tighthead suffered a serious blow to the head while attempting to tackle Bok counterpart Steven Kitshoff.Francis would have missed this Saturday's second Test in Bloemfontein due to World Rugby's new mandatory 12-day rest period for category one concussions. However, upon further medical evaluation, he will be sent home on Tuesday, therefore also missing the final Test in Cape Town on 16 July.
