Venom and Kraven the Hunter in Sony's 2024 Marvel movies
It's unclear what the future holds for Sony's Spider-Man Universe after the upcoming December 2024 release of Kraven the Hunter. Originally planned as a series of spinoff movies from Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014, Sony's Spider-Man Universe was born following the sequel's disappointing performance, the establishment of a deal with Marvel Studios to bring Spider-Man into the MCU, and the redevelopment of a stand-alone Venom project.

There are several SSU projects that are presumably still in development, including those focused on El Muerto, Hypno-Hustler and Jackpot, and those penned by Roberto Orci and Olivia Wilde.

The animated Spider-Verse movies have been smash-hits for Sony Animation, but the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will end the trilogy.
