Ward joined the show to discuss her highly anticipated new book, Arrivals and Departures, the sequel to The Jetsetters, a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick. “You can expect to fly over to Greece a lot of it takes place in Santorini, and also in Savannah, Georgia. My mother lives there It's a beautiful city. And there's so many stories,” Ward said, teasing the exotic and personal settings readers will explore in the next chapter of the story. Ward joined the show to discuss her highly anticipated new book, Arrivals and Departures, the sequel to The Jetsetters, a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick.Ward shared, “It was absolutely amazing. And it was March 2020 when Reese announced that The Jetsetters was her pick, I was the number one item on Amazon! More than a hammer or nails, or a t-shirt it was MY book on there! It was an honor.” Reflecting on being selected for Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, Ward shared, “It was absolutely amazing. Sleep Toward Heaven is my first novel I’m writing with Miguel Arteta, and that is going to be a film. And then The Lifeguards which is about moms in Austin and their teenage boys who are lifeguards at Barton Springs, is being made into a TV show, as well as a short story of mine set in Savannah about a private investigator,” she said.
