Western Australia Police seized $1.8 million of cash during a routine traffic stop.
Officers found the money in a duffle bag in the boot of a 36-year-old man’s car while he was heading towards the country’s eastern states. The man was pulled over in the town of Southern Cross last week and was charged with property laundering.
