There were about 200 people at a Broome “bush doof” event where a woman was viciously raped two years ago, and police are offering $250,000 to anyone who with information to help catch the predator. The 31-year-old woman was randomly attacked as she ventured into the dunes at the outdoor dance party on Cable Beach between 4.30am and 5.30am on May 29, 2022. “There she was approached by an unknown man, who struck her in the head multiple times before sexually assaulting her,” WA Police said.
” WA Police special crime detective Senior Sergeant Luke Fowler added: “This was a random and vicious attack on a young woman, and she continues to live with the aftermath of the incident every day.” He called the reward for information a life-changing sum. “Someone in the community knows something. This amount of money has the potential to change someone’s life, and at the same time, help police and the victim get some much-needed answers.
