VW America will launch at least one special edition of each of its major new models
Pablo Di Si says demand for the Atlas Peak Edition has been strong The character of each special edition will depend on the model A special version of the ID.Buzz could prove particularly popular VW Group of America chief executive Pablo Di Si has revealed that the company is planning to release more special edition models like the recent Atlas Peak Edition. The carmaker took off the covers to the 2024 Atlas Peak Edition at last year’s New York Auto Show.
It might be called something different for an electric vehicle. Di Si noted that work on special models like the Peak Edition starts at the time of development of a new vehicle. While he didn’t say which new models will be the next to receive a unique version, he did say “the character of that special edition will depend on the vehicle.” A vehicle like the new ID.Buzz seems like the perfect vehicle for a special edition. Last year, VW unveiled a special three-row version of the ID.
