ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the deal will be for one year and that the two sides were still “finalizing terms.”
In a post, captioned, “DC… What’s good??” Miller revealed the next stop in his career after the Bills released him earlier this offseason. The 36-year-old spent the first nine seasons in the NFL with the Broncos, winning the 2016 Super Bowl and the game’s MVP.
Miller won his second Super Bowl title with the Rams in 2022 after he was traded to Los Angeles during the middle of the 2021 season. He has 129.5 sacks over the course of his career. Miller will bring veteran depth to the Commanders roster after they lost Dante Fowler Jr. in free agency after he signed with the Cowboys. It was reported this week that three teams were “very interested” in Miller, according to NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger. “I think Von feels like there’s a pretty good chance he’s going to sign some point either before camp or — I mean, I don’t think Von’s too crazy about going to training camp,” Baldinger told the DNVR Broncos podcast this week. “Most guys that age aren’t. They know what they need to do. He looks in great shape. So, I would say he’s going to get signed here .” Commanders training camp begins next week with veterans reporting on July 22 at the OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park in Ashburn, Va.
