sport sedan is getting some kind of update for 2025, having just been teased by the automaker ahead of a big reveal coming June 25. The teaser image doesn’t show much other than the plastic grille featuring an embossed easter egg that reads “Let’s Go!” in what we can only imagine is an effort to capture the attention of the cool kids.
When it comes to the new model, we’re not expecting sweeping changes from the existing Jetta beyond an exterior styling refresh and possibly a bump up in horsepower for both the base and GLI models. The 2024 Jetta gets 158 horsepower while the GLI’s 2.0-liter EA888 engine produces 228 horsepower.While 158 horses aren’t bad for a base model small sedan , there’s room for improvement.
