The Virginia Military Institute visiting professor was the secretary of Columbia University Apartheid Divest from 2022 to 2024.
A visiting professor at Virginia Military Institute held a leadership role for a student group which blamed Israel for the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, antisemitism watchdog group Accuracy in Media found.
“The weight of responsibility for the war and casualties undeniably lies with the Israeli extremist government and other Western governments, including the U.S. government, which fund and staunchly support Israeli aggression, apartheid and settler-colonization,” the letter read. I think its morally outrageous for the students at VMI — truly some of the best of America, some of the best and brightest, most patriotic Americans — they should never be forced to learn from a radical anti-American antisemite,” Guillette said. “At this point, it's pretty clear that he stands by that statement.”
Guillette in September visited the Columbia-affiliated Bassett Medical Center to call out two Columbia University students who are participating in the program. Each had experience leading CUAD.
