vivo has officially added yet another offering to its Y series of smartphones with the Y17s. The new entry-level device
made its debut in Singapore weeks after the phone was rumoured to launch, and it seems that the actual specs are much better than what was previously speculated.
The Y17s sports a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 840 nits. Running everything internally is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
On the photography side, the Y17s features a 50MP main camera on the back alongside a 2MP depth sensor while the front notch houses an 8MP selfie shooter. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging. Additionally, it is rated at IP54 for dust and water resistance and ships with Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13.
