Virus fears paralyse Latin America with lockdowns, beach closures

BRAZIL yesterday announced it was closing land borders and prohibiting entry to people from European and many Pacific Asian countries to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, as Mexico and Peru reported their first virus deaths. And, Argentina said it would go on a “preventative and compulsory” lockdown from today until March 31 in an effort to contain the virus.
