A Virginia family’s gender reveal went viral Tuesday after it didn’t go quite as planned when the family’s 4-year-old daughter accidentally snipped the balloon’s string rather than popping the ballon itself.Candice Pope Ross and her husband said that they wanted to include their 4-year-old daughter Finely in the reveal and gave her the honorary job of popping the black helium-filled balloon that held the colored confetti.
In the video, the 4-year-old can be heard counting down before confidently stepping up to the balloon and snipping the balloon from the cord.“oh my god,” said another person off-camera.Candice Pope Ross and her husband said that they wanted to include their 4-year-old daughter Finely in the reveal and gave her the honorary job of popping the black helium-filled balloon that held the colored confetti.
Ross said that her daughter’s laughter quickly turned to tears thinking she had just sent her sibling away, writes CBS affiliate WTVR.“You know that balloon was expensive as hell too,” commented a fourth person.“Well you gave her scissors,” pointed out one user. “I mean.. she used scissors… like scissors, and we, a bunch of adults are the ones surprised by the outcome,” stated a second person.
