Virgin cruise passenger falls from balcony and later dies

A Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady passenger died on Sunday after falling from their balcony. The ship returned to its port in Miami, before resuming the itinerary.

Cruise industries face staffing challenges ahead of record travel season. FOX Business' Ashley Webster with more.out of Miami died on Sunday after falling from a balcony on the Valiant Lady vessel, a Virgin Voyages spokesperson confirmed on Monday.

"Yesterday evening shortly after departure, there was a medical emergency involving one of our passengers," the spokesperson said. "This passenger went over their balcony onto a lower deck, and despite receiving immediate medical attention, has passed away." A passenger aboard the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady, a sister ship of the Scarlet Lady, fell from their balcony and onto a lower deck, ultimately dying.
