Moments you may not have spotted during Liverpool's friendlies against Sevilla and Las Palmas on Sunday
Liverpool ended their pre-season preparations in unusual fashion with a friendly double header against Spanish sides Sevilla and Las Palmas on Sunday. In front of a packed Anfield, Luis Diaz netted twice and Diogo Jota and teenager Trey Nyoni also scored as the Reds earned a comfortable 4-1 triumph. A few hours later, though, a completely different starting XI were unable to find a way through in a goalless draw against Las Palmas behind closed doors.
Cue the Reds head coach hastily informing the replacements to sheepishly get themselves back down the other end of the touchline. They are there to do a job and they get paid for it, even if sometimes they have to go a very long way and sit through a lot of rubbish in not very nice conditions.
